1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of AllotMe Plots ("the Service"), operated by AllotMe Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. The Service
AllotMe Plots is a web-based platform for managing UK allotment associations. It provides tools for tracking plots, members, waiting lists, and rent collection, including the ability to accept online rent payments from plot holders.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per association.
4. Subscription fees
We offer three subscription tiers: Free (up to 30 plots, 1 admin), Standard (£4.50 per month, up to 150 plots, 3 admins), and Pro (£7 per month, unlimited plots and admins). Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of the billing period.
Founding members may receive free Standard access for a limited period as communicated to them individually.
5. Online rent collection
If you choose to accept online rent payments, members pay via Stripe. We charge a flat 3% fee per online transaction, which is added to the amount the member pays at checkout.
We briefly hold the collected rent in our platform Stripe account and transfer the net amount to your nominated bank account every Monday by BACS.
To receive payouts, you must provide accurate UK bank account details and have authority to receive rent payments on behalf of your association.
6. Refunds and chargebacks
You are responsible for handling refunds and chargebacks on rent payments collected through the Service. If a chargeback is initiated by a member, the amount will be deducted from your next payout. We reserve the right to pass on any associated Stripe fees.
7. Your responsibilities
- You must keep plot and member data accurate and up to date.
- You are the data controller for your members' personal data (see our Privacy Policy).
- You must comply with UK data protection law (UK GDPR) in how you handle member data.
- You must not use the Service to send unsolicited marketing emails or for any unlawful purpose.
8. Availability and limitation of liability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the total subscription fees you have paid us in that period.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation.
9. Termination
You can cancel your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow for export, after which it will be deleted.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to the account owner at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
